Fox News host Laura Ingraham is being criticized today for her interview of an anonymous person who described seeing envelopes being ripped open and marked for a vote for Democratic presidential challenger Joe Biden

The right-wing news channel is describing the woman as a “whistleblower.”

The unnamed woman told Ingraham she saw envelopes being opened and passed around near a Biden-Harris campaign vehicle, where she saw workers opening ballots and changing the vote.

“As I got closer, I thought, ‘Those are ballots,’” she said. “I walked by four or five times. On the next time I walked by, they were putting them in the envelopes. They were putting them in a white and pink envelope.”

The woman was interviewed with her face obscured and her voice disguised. The interview was widely panned on social media.

Social media influencer Rex Chapman wrote “Laura Ingraham interviews an anonymous poll worker —complete with a disguised voice. Fox News has jumped the shark,” using the idiom that describes a moment when something that was once widely-popular makes a misguided attempt at generating publicity, yet instead only highlights its irrelevance.

“Jesus. How low can you get @IngrahamAngle? What about you @FoxNews ? You know this isn’t close to true. Where’s your dignity? Your self-respect? Pathetic,” one Twitter user wrote

Urban popular culture site Baller Alert tweeted “Laura Ingraham should be ashamed of herself. The SNL skit for this nonsense will be epic.”

Another user called Fox News anchors “a threat to a free society.”

The woman also told Ingraham she submitted an affidavit to the Trump campaign claiming she witnessed voters being allowed to vote without valid identification.

Aaron D. Ford, the Democratic attorney general of Nevada, called the accusations and the Trump campaign’s legal efforts “garbage.”

The affidavit has been submitted to the Justice Department.
